Q: Hey, for those unfamiliar with your music, could you tell us a little about yourself?
A: Hi! My name is Olivia, I’m 24 years old, I first picked up the guitar and started writing when I was 12 years old. My roots are as a folk singer/songwriter but my sound has evolved into pure pop over the past few years.
Q: You recently released your new single “TIMEZONE”, can you tell us what the song is about?
A: This song was inspired by a series of events. Moving to the west coast, The Chaos of long-distance relationships, A FaceTime call with my dad while he was in India and we were juggling time zones, and the studio session where the song was born with new friends I had just met from Norway. “TIMEZONE” is unapologetic, and carefree, and makes me wanna drive along the ocean with the windows down!
Q: What inspirations do you take when writing your music?
A: My lyrics are heavily inspired by my personal experiences. Navigating the world in your 20’s, the duality of love and heartbreak, and my friends’ situationships- these all play a significant role in my songwriting inspiration!
Q: Who are your current favorite new artists?
A: I recently discovered Dijon, Jo Hill has a song called Honeymoon (it’s been on repeat).
Q: Who would your dream collaboration be with, and why?
A: Ed Sheeran- hands down! I’ve been a fan of his songwriting and artistry forever. As a fellow redhead, I think we’d make a statement too (lol)!
