An Interview With Spyder Webb

Q: What inspired you to pursue a career in music?

A: It’s about the feeling it brings, the ability to express emotion through music, it’s just what I must do.

Q: How would you describe your musical style?

A: I don’t think that my musical style is 100% applicable to any specific genre, or even 75%. If someone asked me what my style is, I would have them tell me.

Q: What was the creative process like for your latest single “Twilight”?

A: It started with a rhythm, a beat, a few words (“take me up”), and a feeling. Some background sounds and then more lyrics/verses. Layer by layer until it all eventually became one, and then became a duet with my Mom.

Q: What message do you hope to convey through your music?

A: No particular message, I want the listener to feel some sort of emotional pleasure, I want it to strike their chord!

Q: Who are some of your musical influences?

A: QUEEN, Michael McDonald, Madonna.

Q: What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your music career so far?

A: Figuring out the technical side, all on my own. From recording the music to shooting and producing my own music video.

Q: What has been the most rewarding experience of your music career so far?

A: Releasing my 1st single “Twilight” & my music video!

Q: What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?

A: Find the time, no excuses!

Q: What can fans expect from you in the future?

A: My 2nd single will be released shortly, a slower more soulful tune called “Caught Up”.

Q: How has your music evolved over the years?

A: Yet to evolve, I just gave birth!
